Pilgrimage doesn’t mean reaching a particular geographic location. Instead, it refers to reaching a deep interior place. Life itself is a pilgrimage, whether we crisscross the continents visiting great shrines and sacred places or never even cross a state line. We are all on a journey toward God. It is up to us to decide whether that journey will be about simply surviving the daily challenges or becoming a pilgrim on the road to union with our Creator. – Mary DeTurris Poust, Walking Together
