Chris Webb

Chris Webb

Chris Webb began her professional career as a certified medical technologist at Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina in June of 1981. She remained at Saint Francis in this capacity for over twenty three years maintaining their medical laboratory equipment and interacting with the patients as she secured their blood samples.

Moved by the poignant stories that women patient shared with her, Chris felt a strong desire to reach out to help them. So despite her busy schedule, Chris completed four units of clinical pastoral studies in the chaplaincy program at Saint Francis.

Chris went on to earn a masters in pastoral studies and utilized her off hours to serve as a chaplain in a local hospice. Continuing to be guided by her desire to help others, Chris discerned a calling to religious life, and with the support of those around her she entered vowed religious life as a Sister of Bon Secours on January 24, 2005.

As a religious sister, Sister Chris takes great comfort in knowing that she has become a witness in the world, working with others in broadening humanitarian efforts.
